Regardless of that, I have to say I seldom read such a grossly misrepresentative and incorrect statement. Aside from the observation that he doesn't even meet the criteria for being a 'serial killer' (ie, the pathology and pychosis), Dr. Kevorkian is no more a serial killer than the doctor who allows terminally ill cancer patients to self-administer 'alittle too much morphine' or the pychologist who provides death counselling for the terminally ill on how to prepare for death. There are many in the medical field who recognize the need to provide a way for the suffering to escape from the prison of their tortured body. Having watched my own father die a horrible, slow and ultimately inevitable death I can appreciate the extremity of human suffering that modern medicine can cause people to experience. I think euthanasia is a valid, appropriate and humane way of meeting the needs and wishes of people who can no longer bare the endless pain and debilitation of human disease. Calling Dr. Kevorkian a serial killer is insulting to the memories of the people he helped. And dont you find it interesting that not a SINGLE family member of those that he 'murdered' called for his execution or imprisonment while he was standing trial? Please reconsider his inclusion in your list, regardless of your personal convictions (which I acknowledge and respect). Dr. Kevorkian should be regarded as a man willing to pay the ultimate price for his convictions (and is percieved as a hero by many), not someone that should to be lumped in with a bunch of sadistic murderous perverts. As far as I could find out, father Robert was already locked up for sexual molestation of little boys when Billy Ray was found guilty and incarcerated in California for the rape and murder of 10 women. He murdered them at his house (family members hearing the screams of the victims, shrugging their shoulders ,saying "Aw, that's just Billy Ray, don't worry about it") and buried them in the backyard, if the information I have so far is correct. Why he was convicted of murder in California, supposedly also killed in Colorado and he and his father were NOT convicted and fried here in Florida, is puzzling me.(Lack of info will do that) In any case, it so happened that Billy Ray lived in St Pete for a short while, close to a man named Hans Tucker, a man who would 'take care' of children handed to him by HRS. This man, in turn, molested the little daughter and the little son of one of Billy Ray's victims and forced their silence by threatening them: "If you tell anyone, so much a breathe a word, you will disappear to the same place your mother went, I know where that is- and nobody will ever find you". It is to be suspected that the two men frequented the same bars,m knew each other and had like "hobbies". Something that was never reported to police and needs looking into. Billy Ray is up for parole. He is incarcerated in Wasco State Prison, Santa Cruz County, since 4.6.82. His first parole hearing was in 97, coming around again. He can not be let loose. Nor shold his dad be or Hans. The whole Mansfield bunch from Brooksville and surrounding areas, notoriously in and out of jail and prison to this day. About 1995 or so, I worked at a law firm in Camden New Jersey and we got a few prank calls from people claiming to be the suitcase killer. Seems this person would pick up prostitutes and after killing them would cut them up and pack them in suitcases that were then dumped in the pine barrens. The suitcases ranged in size from huge to not much bigger then an old lunch box. I think that there were at least 10 women that were killed and parts were found in the suitcases not too far from the road off of the Atlantic City Expressway. Having driven through that area, deer and other animals are often hit on the road then make it to the tree line and die. A body could be 20 feet from the road and never found. Anyone else hear about this because it seems to have just stopped. New Jersey is the middle ground between DE, NY, and PA and whoever did it could have been a trucker or just a killer with a car and a lot of guts. Please let me know if you have heard of this case or know anything that has happend with it recently.

You might want to watch History's Mysteries for a re-air of the two part documentary. Pretty good. Also, the house was never reported to have been torn down. A later family just changed the "famous" windows in hopes of detering drunk kids. Subsequent families have all had problems though few of them report "haunting" activities because they don't want the freaks to return. Two boys using Butch's old room, from two separate families living in the house, have passed away from drug problems. Coincidence? Could be!

He wanted to drive the girl home but me and my friend wouldn't let her go with him, I made the call. I didn't feel right about the situation, he seemed too eager & he got extremely irate when we refused to let her leave with him. We almost beat his ass over it & we had two MP's who were going to help. The girl was not happy because she had to take the bus home. But IM glad now because at least she made it home. For 17 years it bothered me who in my unit was involved in those murders. My unit only had 2000 men in it and it was unsettling to know that one of them was a serial killer and not knowing who it was. How you manage to make something this filthy and amaturish to the point of obviously being quite intentional is totally beyond me. Your skill has got to be pretty unique - I go to art school and I know that elegant, understated, fast loading (or not so fast loading), friendly web sites are a dime a dozen as far as consultation goes. Nobody learns how to do things the way you do - there is little demand. It's really refreshing to see the design match the content as well as on your site, with this big thick obsessive adolescent sort of geocities haze not just telling but presenting and proclaiming that, for instance, there is a lot of canibalism in Russia. Also, you really know your shit. I've noticed that the crimelibrary.com site tends to just sell the viewer books and tell the same stories...with drama and narrative. They seem to forget that the reason we read about disgusting acts and inhuman people is that we are indulging in some pretty fucking sinister impulse, and so for the sake of honesty and sincerity, the design should reflect that. Honesty and sincerity are considerations which web designers rarely bother with. A lot of designers don't understand what it is, and all the great ones design with that sense of honesty without knowing it. When you're honest with web design, or any sort of design, the product is not something packaged to be interpereted as something that suddenly came into being - it is packaged to not only *not* hide the processes which created it, but to suggest them, to convince the viewer that every step along the way, the people behind the product were thinking about the person who later had to deal with it, and if possible, to also show that the people behind the product were people, even if they're part of a large team working for a faceless corporation. I doubt whoever designed this webpage was thinking about these things, but I'll also bet they didn't just get lucky. Anyway, thanks for doing some webdesign with real thought, I appreciate it. Since my topic is pretty exclusive, I've chosen either the true story in which the movie "At Close Range" was based upon or the true story in which the movie "In A Child's Name" which was about the Dentist, Kenneth Taylor, who bludgeoned his wife to death and the custody battle that followed between Dr. Taylor's parents and his late wife's sister over the child. While I've talked with the Detective in charge of the Taylor murder case, I've found nothing on the story relating to "At Close Range". Can you help? | ||||

From: GrlMedic1 A friend of mine and I had been speaking earlier in day about how many people commit murder because of religion (referring to 9-11) when I stumbled upon your web site. As I was looking through the masses of people who have killed or been killed do to religious effects I found the piece about the "Wyoming Valley Satanists." I was shocked! You point out the fact that a "Type-O-Negative" record was found by the bodies, have you ever met them? Do you even know anything about the band? I know this may sound as if I am just some groupie defending their idols, I am not. I am an adult, however, Type O is one of my favorite bands and it really upset me to see that you stated there music has "satanic overtones." If you knew anything about the band, you would know that a lot of their earlier music was put out to bother record labels and music execs. They do not believe in selling music to sell records, they sell music for the music and to make a living, not to make millions and definitely not make people commit suicide or create a cult of Satanists. They are Fathers, Husbands and actually a bunch of really nice people. I have personally met them, they have no interest in Satanism. This type of labeling goes back generation after generation, were you one of the many people that only saw Elvis from the waist up? Were you there when Lucy and Desi prayed they would not be taken off the air because they said the word "pregnant" on television? I am the first one to say I do not believe people should follow music as an idol, I think it is silly and if the parents of these children gave them more love and attention they would still be alive. A teenager has a hard enough time getting through life with all the things they are feeling and the changes that they are going through and when they are not treated right at home they turn to other sources and they believe things that are strictly made for entertainment, but the strange part is they always seem to blame it on rock music. Lets turn on the news tomorrow and see if they blame the next rape on Jennifer Lopez and her chest exposing dress or see if they blame the next drive by on a rap star... ...to add one more thing, I am from Wyoming Valley, I have grown up here, please do some more research before you go labeling a rock band for suicide and Satanism. We are one of the biggest areas on the East Coast for Satanism and witchcraft, I am ashamed to say. Let's call them all and see if they are ALL Type-O-Negative fans....shall we? | ||||

From: DONNYVIKE I don't know if you know this, but fairly recently (September or October, 2001) Mark Antonio Profit, the convicted "Wirth Park Killer" of Minneapolis, Minn., was found dead in his prison cell. He had been serving two life sentences in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Oak Park Heights for one of the four killings, plus an assault on another female. He had also been convicted, in August, 2001, on attempted murder on a prison guard and was facing an additional 20+ years. | ||||
